Top 5 Best ActiveCampaign Alternatives in 2025? Ready to crush it in 2025? While everyone else is taking it easy at the end of 2024, smart creators are already planning ahead. And here’s a secret: it all starts with picking the right email tools to help you grow.

Finding the perfect email platform can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. And while ActiveCampaign is a solid choice, it’s not always the best fit for everyone. That’s why I’ve put together this guide to show you some powerful alternatives that could transform your business in 2025

1. Kit (formerly ConvertKit)

Why creators love Kit compare to ActiveCampaign:

  • Super easy to use
  • Makes setting up email series a breeze
  • Landing pages that actually look good
  • Fair prices that won’t break the bank

Best for: Bloggers, YouTubers, and online course creators who want things simple but powerful.

Pricing: Starts at $25/month for up to 1,000 subscribers.

Personal thought: After using Kit for two years, I can’t recommend it enough for creators. The automation features are so intuitive that I set up my entire course welcome sequence in under an hour. While it’s not the cheapest option, the time you save is worth every penny.

2. MailerLite

What’s cool about it:

  • Free for your first 1,000 subscribers
  • Makes pretty emails without the headache
  • Test what works best with your readers
  • Keeps things cheap as you grow

Best for: New creators who want to start strong without spending much.

Pricing: Starts at $9/month for up to 500 contacts.

Personal thought: MailerLite is my go-to recommendation for beginners. I’ve helped three friends set up their newsletters here, and they all got the hang of it within a day. The only downside I’ve found is that some of the fancier automation features are limited compared to others.

3. Hubspot

Why you might love it:

  • Handles everything in one place
  • Shows you what your readers like
  • Helps with social media too
  • Makes your content work harder

Best for: Creators ready to level up their whole marketing game.

Pricing: Starts at $15/month for up to 1000 contacts.

HubSpot is powerful, but the downside is a little expensive. I used it at my previous job and loved how everything worked together. But for most creators, it’s overkill unless you’re running a serious business with multiple team members.

4. GetResponse

Cool stuff GetResponse can do:

  • Run webinars right from the platform
  • Sell stuff easier with funnels
  • Send smart emails that know what your readers want
  • Try everything free before you buy

Best for: Creators who teach live or sell courses online.

Pricing: Starts at $15/month for up to 1,000 contacts.

5. Mailchimp

Why it’s still awesome:

  • Easy to use
  • Makes nice-looking emails
  • Keeps track of your subscribers
  • Works with all your other tools

Best for: Creators who want something tried and true.

Pricing: Paid plans start at $18.78/month for up to 500 subscribers.

Mailchimp was my first email marketing tool, and it’s still solid for basics. However, I found myself outgrowing it after about 5,000 subscribers when I needed more advanced automation. Great starting point, but be ready to switch as you grow.

Here’s My Personal Ranking Based on Different Needs:

🥇 Best for Beginners: MailerLite

Why? Simple interface + generous free plan + room to grow

🥇 Best for Course Creators: Kit

Why? Built for digital products + great automation + intuitive tagging

🥇 Best Value for Money: GetResponse

Why? Webinars included + solid email features + reasonable pricing

🥇 Best All-in-One: HubSpot

Why? Complete toolkit + powerful features + scalable (if you can afford it)

🥇 Best for Testing the Waters: Mailchimp

Why? Easy to start + well-known + lots of integrations

Final Thoughts:

Most of these tools let you try them for free. Take them for a test drive! It’s like dating—you’ve got to try a few before you find “the one.” I actually tested each of these platforms for at least a month before settling on my current stack.
